Augusta, GA
The CPC has been ministering in Augusta since 1982. In that time, they have provided education and alternatives to abortion through many different programs directed at the diverse facets of this issue. Their abstinence workshops have been used by many of the local schools, instructing teenagers on sexuality based on biblical principles. They sponsor a maternity home, as well teaching adoption, marriage and parenting classes. In addition, they have been instrumental in limiting the reach of Planned Parenthood into our community, as well as into the local schools. Since they were founded 32 years ago, there has been a dramatic decrease in elective abortions in the Augusta area, as well as the closing and scaling back of many abortion clinics. Politically, they have been on the forefront of defending the rights of the unborn in our city and state, affecting many policy and funding decisions within our government. Susan Swanson, the CPC’s director, leads a large team of volunteers who man phone lines 24 hours a day and are ready to help any woman who is looking for an alternative to abortion.
Grace Fellowship has been a long time supporter of this ministry. Motivated by the message of the Gospel, they are making an impact in our community and we are blessed to be Partners with them in the Gospel.
