Wade Trimmer is the founding pastor of Grace Fellowship of Augusta. He is a gifted preacher, teacher, writer and student of the Word of God. After serving 30 years as our pastor, he felt led of the Lord to devote the rest of his life to the training and discipling of pastors and key lay leaders. Through his non-profit organization, Training for Reigning Institute of Disciple-making, he focuses much of his effort on Third World countries that otherwise have little access to quality training. Pastor Wade is committed to training people to live in loving relationships with other believers, and serve in kingdom partnership to fulfill this Great Commission. Going to the ends of the earth, his ministry is seeking to make disciples of all people groups, baptizing and teaching them all things that Jesus commanded. Since 2008, Pastor Wade’s influence has grown dramatically throughout the world. Making numerous international trips each year, he is teaching disciple-making principles to thousands of people all over the world. Wade continues to be a vital part of our church community. As our Missions Pastor, he is expanding our reach in the earth and is putting us in fellowship with quality ministries that we can partner with in the advancement of the Gospel. In addition, he serves as one of our Overseers, giving valuable oversight and accountability to the ongoing ministry of Grace Fellowship.

The Jews are God's Chosen People!

It is my firm persuasion that the Scriptures teach that no one can be made right with God. i.e. saved, without being chosen in Christ, becoming a true Jew, and being saved by Christ alone, through grace alone, by faith alone. Immediately you perceptive Bible students will pick up on a phrase I used and accuse me of heresy. That being that everyone must become "a true Jew"...

Standing With and United for Israel!

It's my firm conviction that all Christians should stand with and be united for Israel. In fact, the very title of "Christian" ("Christ-like follower") is contradicted when we fail to do this, since standing with Israel is the foundation of our faith. Also permit me to add one more confession and conviction: In addition, I have abandoned replacement theology. However, le...

The Goodness of God

Romans 11:22a, "Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God..." Many of us were taught to return thanks at the dinner table by beginning our prayer like this: "God is great. God is good." Some years ago a phrase became very popular and spread throughout the church around the world. It was used in a call-and-response pattern. The worship leader or pastor would sho...

Pampering Saints or Preparing Sons?

Hebrews 12:5-8, "And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons? "My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives." It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his fathe...

The Severity of God

Romans 11:22a, "Therefore consider the goodness andseverity of God..." Our last article was well received because of its theme - "the GOODNESS of GOD."However, the text we used in the previous article contains a second truth that is usually either overlooked and omitted by most believers or denied and vilified by others -- that truth being the SEVERITY of GOD." The word ...

Attending the Burning Heart Bible School!

Luke 24:32, "They said to each other, "Did not our hearts burn within uswhile he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?" Our text is the response of the two followers of the freshly resurrected Jesus after they had been His students in the "Burning Heart Bible School" for one incredible afternoon walk and talk. Having listened to their grief-fill...

Doing The Best of Things in the Worst of Times!

In the midst of very difficult and tumultuous times, a tribute was written to the local pastor of the Harold Church in the village of Staunton, England. It remains today on the wall of the church and reads, "In the year 1653, when all things sacred were throughout the nation destroyed or profaned, this church was built to the glory of God by Sir Robert Shirley whose singul...

Doing The Best of Things in the Worst of Times! Part 2

In a previous post I identified what I believe to be the "best of things" as consisting of four basic axioms that when pursued by us Christians will always result in our doing the best of things in spite of the times or the trends we find ourselves living in. These are: Desiring the Kingdom of the Father Primarily Believing the Word of God Pervasively Loving the Son o...

Saxifrage Saints!

Matthew 13:31-33, "He put another parable before them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches." He told them another parable. "The ...

Training For Reigning

Romans 5:17, "For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." Someone called the 5th chapter of the book of Romans, "The Chapter of the Five Kings". In it we see King Sin, for Sin reigned. There is King Death, for "Death reigned." There is King Gr...
