Wade Trimmer is the founding pastor of Grace Fellowship of Augusta. He is a gifted preacher, teacher, writer and student of the Word of God. After serving 30 years as our pastor, he felt led of the Lord to devote the rest of his life to the training and discipling of pastors and key lay leaders. Through his non-profit organization, Training for Reigning Institute of Disciple-making, he focuses much of his effort on Third World countries that otherwise have little access to quality training. Pastor Wade is committed to training people to live in loving relationships with other believers, and serve in kingdom partnership to fulfill this Great Commission. Going to the ends of the earth, his ministry is seeking to make disciples of all people groups, baptizing and teaching them all things that Jesus commanded. Since 2008, Pastor Wade’s influence has grown dramatically throughout the world. Making numerous international trips each year, he is teaching disciple-making principles to thousands of people all over the world. Wade continues to be a vital part of our church community. As our Missions Pastor, he is expanding our reach in the earth and is putting us in fellowship with quality ministries that we can partner with in the advancement of the Gospel. In addition, he serves as one of our Overseers, giving valuable oversight and accountability to the ongoing ministry of Grace Fellowship.

Following up, I want to list 75 of the several hundred things that are true of everyone that is saved. Always keep in mind that salvation is God's plan that has existed immutably and eternally in God's mind. God designed the plan, determined the partici...

Sixty-one Things that were True of Me and Every Other Person before Becoming a Christian!

I was on the broad way (road) leading to destruction (Matthew 7:13). I was lost (Luke 19:10; 2 Corinthians 4:3). I was condemned already because of my unbelief (John 3:18). I was a lover of darkness (John 3:19). I was under God's abiding wrath (John 3:36) awaiting God's coming wrath (Luke 3:7; Ephesians 5:6; Colossians 3:6). I was an ignorant worshipper (John 4:22)....

Word and Spirit — A Marriage Made in Heaven!

On September 3, 2012, I posted this blog. Reading it afresh last night, I felt impressed to share it again. Much of the materials were gleaned from the pens of men like Jack Taylor, Dudley Hall, R.T. Kendall, etc. Careful observation reveals that the church has been in a state of illegal spiritual separation for many centuries. The estranged parties frequently hurl accusa...

Only the Lonely!

Most of us Western world "Baby Boomers" readily and fondly remember the 1960 hit song written and sung by Roy Orbison entitled "Only the Lonely. It's the tale of a broken heart produced by a jilted lover. One verse cries, "There goes my baby, there goes my heart, they're gone forever, so far apart. Only the lonely know the heartaches I've been through. Only the lonely know...

The Myth of Neutrality

Matthew 12:30: "He that is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters."This pithy saying by Jesus clarifies the position into which the Pharisees have put themselves. It divides humanity simply into only two groups; there is no middle ground. With these solemn words Jesus draws the line of cleavage between himself and his enemies then and now. ...

Is God's Love Unconditional?

Love in the Western world is a complex and often contradictory and confusing concept. Little Jimmy Watkins was on the computer in his uncle's office. He started pecking out: "I am seven years old. My uncle's computer is fun to play with. I am going to help him write his book on "What is love?" He begins: "Billy Smith is in sixth grade, and he knows everything. Billy Smith...

Where Does Good Government Begin?

We have reached a tipping point in America where most of its citizens believe that our strength is in, and our trust should be in big government. We believe that government somehow has the unlimited capacity that only God possesses. When people reject the Lordship of Christ's rule, they place their hope in an earthly ruler whom they expect to satisfy their wants. The peo...

Replacing Discipleship with Dreaming!

Matthew 28:18-20, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." This passage of scripture has been rightly denominated...

We Are at Risk of “Burnout” in a Short-term Sprint for Jesus!

Heb 12:1-2a, "Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of...

The Wrath of God

Romans 1:18, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth." There are few theological topics that are more unacceptable to the contemporary, Western world than the theme of the wrath of God. The late Dr. J. I. Packer never spoke truer words than when he said, "The fact is...
